Stephenson had me at Qucksilver but lost me with the rest of the Baroque Cycle. I get the impression that he is just that much smarter than me that he can't come down to my wavelength. Reamde was different. This reads like an action movie but one that is smart and damn prophetic. About a quarter of the way through the book the action heats up like a final scene and never lets up. Lots of smart, likable characters. Read it.
