Tough to explain this one. It's got the apocalypse thing going, which I like but there is no explanation or description of the apocalypse. The story begins with a very quiet empty world with a handful of people trying to contact... anyone. Anyway, you can feel the emptiness in this book which makes it a good book. Haunting, that's the word I'm looking for.
