Kalaloch Beach

We spent just one night at Kalaloch Beach, part of Olympic National Park, on the Washington coast.   The campground was up on a bluff above the beach and we had to find and navigate stairs or steep paths to get down the sand.

The beach was very natural with huge downed trees and driftwood everywhere.  The girls found things to do checking out the jellies, digging in the wet sand and playing on and with the driftwood.  My favorite part was that water was absolutely silly with whales. For the two days we were there there was never a moment you would see whales just off the beach rolling around in the waves.
