We took a boat ride today. From Vestmanna we headed north between the islands of Vagar and Streymoy until we hit the North Atlantic Ocean. Along the way we cruised right up against the Cliffs of Vestmanna full of birds, sheep and waterfalls.
There is no flat ground for sheep to graze on. They spend their entire lives wandering around on these steep slopes.

This is supposed to resemble an elephant. Not sure about that but it was cool and had lots of birds nests. |
