Nearing South Georgia Island

Pretty quickly after we got underway a bunch of seabirds started following us.  Two kinds of Albatross and three types of Petrel.  The most common was the Giant Petrel which has a wingspan of over six feet, but the largest was the Wandering Albatross with a wingspan of 11 feet.  None of the birds hardly ever flapped their wings, they just rode the wind without expending energy.   Apparently they can go for days and days without landing.
