This time Eric and I brought our families, out to Red Cliffs Recreation area in Leeds, UT. Emma was quite a good climber, we suspect it is because of her "super shoes".

On Ship

We loaded on to the ridiculously luxuriant Silver Explorer yesterday. I was immediately greeted with champagne and other cocktails so as not to get too bored while checking in. My butler Dean showed me to my suite and meant it when he said he could get me whatever I needed. So far he's seemed disappointed that I have not taken advantage of him. My suite is about 460 square feet and has a sitting room, wardrobe, bathroom and bedroom. The bathroom is bigger than any bathroom at my home. It has a tub and separate shower and the sink is a huge basin. The walk-in wardrobe is even bigger with plenty of room to change and store stuff. Right now I am sitting at the ample desk in the sitting room.

Dallas, TX

Hit a snag. at some time between tyler, tx and dallas a piece of fiberglass ripped right off. never saw or heard a thing. We have talked with a couple of people about fixing it and have decided to patch it up and fix it as best we can when we get to utah. the last guy we tlaked to asked if we were christian or not. i wasn't what the right answer to that question was but i wasn't going to wait and find out. lisa's mom has tools and knows of an rv junkyard. we'll take our chances.

Patagonia

Very busy day today. Woke up at 5 AM for a flight from Santiago to Punta Arenas. Then a drive north to Puerto Natales. On the way stopped at a sheep farm for some demonstrations and lunch. Finally arrived at Puerto Natales, walked around town for a couple of hours and then a New Years Eve party. Got to check out some southern constellations for the first time ever. Southern Cross, one of the Magellanic Clouds. More pictures available at my Picasa Album .
