I think this has been my favorite part of the trip so far. We hung around Ogden for half the day browsing a good bookstore and wandering streets I haven't wandered in six or so years. We visited the new planetarium in Salt Lake that was built in a brand new part of the city--it was like I'd never been there before.
Mostly I enjoyed the drive to St. George. The miles were more meaningful--family at the other end. Lisa drove most of the way and the deep cycle battery that powers the radio hasn't been charging so it was just a newly acquired copy of Desert Solitaire, a desert sunset and the smell of sage.
